Meet some of the amazing students whose lives have been transformed through Rise India scholarships
Growing up in a small village in Rajasthan, Priya dreamed of becoming a software engineer. But with her family's limited income, higher education seemed impossible. Her father, a farmer, could barely afford her school fees, let alone college tuition.
In 2019, Priya received the Rise India Higher Education Scholarship, which covered her full tuition, accommodation, and study materials for her computer science degree. The scholarship didn't just provide financial support—it gave her confidence and opened doors she never thought possible.
Today, Priya works as a Software Engineer at a leading tech company in Bangalore, earning enough to support her entire family. She's also mentoring other students from her village, showing them that their dreams are within reach.
"Rise India didn't just give me a scholarship—they gave me hope, guidance, and the belief that I could achieve anything. I'm forever grateful for this opportunity, and I'm committed to giving back to my community."

Rahul's family struggled financially after his father's accident left him unable to work. As the eldest of three siblings, Rahul knew he needed to find a way to support his family quickly. Traditional four-year degrees weren't feasible, but he had a passion for electrical work.
The Rise India Vocational Training Scholarship enabled Rahul to complete an 18-month electrical engineering diploma. The program included hands-on training, industry certifications, and job placement assistance.
Within two months of graduation, Rahul landed a job as an electrical technician at a manufacturing plant. He's now leading a team of five technicians and has started his own electrical contracting business on the side. His success has enabled his younger siblings to continue their education.
Breaking Barriers, Inspiring Change
In Anjali's community, girls were rarely encouraged to pursue higher education. Most were expected to get married after completing 10th grade. But Anjali had different dreams—she wanted to become a teacher and help other girls in her community access education.
The Rise India Girls' Education Scholarship not only covered her Bachelor of Education degree but also provided mentorship and career counseling. The program helped her navigate family pressures and social expectations while pursuing her goals.
Today, Anjali teaches at a government school in her hometown, where she's become a role model for young girls. She's also started an after-school tutoring program for girls from underprivileged families, helping them dream bigger and achieve more.
"Rise India believed in me when few others did. They showed me that being a woman from a small town doesn't limit what I can achieve. Now, I'm paying it forward by empowering the next generation of girls."
